Evidently, there went Fernando's exclusivity contract out the window. He didn't like the character or the story, but Lord High insisted his exclusivity contract demanded he accept the role. It was over his rejection of the role that Sebastián Rulli finally took in "Papá, Todo Madre". I remember Stevey [observer of all things telenovela (per Anita!!) writing in his post 'Stevey Weighs In, Part 1 year before last that Fernando had a big shouting match with Rosy Ocampo, (Lord High), Executive Producer of World-Class Content, Creativity, Innovation, and High Impact" (Productora Ejecutiva de Contenidos de Clase Mundial, Creatividad, Innovación y Alto Impacto.

I subscribe to her channel just to see his wonderful smile each morning. There is a Fernando Colunga fanatic uploader on YouTube, Mary Mardorre, who uploads something new everyday about FC, either a photo (past or recent-beautiful ones), an interview, a news article, etc. I'm sure Anita, Kirby, and RgvChick will carry on and do a fantastic job !! I wish to thank everyone for making my day more enjoyable. Sometimes it feels as if I know all the recappers and commentator as friends. But my life would not be the same without my daily novela fix. My USA friends think I'm crazy being addicted to telenovelas and ‘Caray’. Reading the daily recaps has become a part of my normal day. My sanity was saved by encountering the wonderful world of all things telenovela ! For real !! For many years, Jane gave so much of her time and energy to entertain us all, it's sad to see her go.ĭuring difficult times over a couple of years, I stayed glued to telenovelas (thank you YouTube) and 'Caray, Caray'. I too was unaware of the reasons why Jane started 'Caray, Caray' and found its history, as explained above by Rgv Chick, fascinating. I'm re-watching ‘Mañana es Para Siempre’ and actually came across one episode that had over 200 comments! I believe that the comments for ‘Lo que la Vida me Robo’ garnered over 200. Somebody asked the other day what was the maximum number of comments for a novela that was recapped here on 'Caray’. Also, one can't help but come across various 'Caray', commentators who have stopped posting, and wonder how they are doing.

I believe I've watched 'Amor Real' close to at least a dozen times, followed by 'Pasión' and 'Alborada'.Įven when I'm re-watching a novela, I read the corresponding recaps and comments! It's so much fun to read comments again, and what a kick I get out of it. And thank goodness!! Thereafter, somehow I found my way to 'Amor Real', Pasión, and the rest is history…. Like others, I came across 'Caray, Caray' when I started surfing the Internet for articles about 'Alborada'. His novel was also the basis for the updated, Colombian version "La Traición". One of the first telenovelas I watched was in Colombia, based on the 1887 novel "El Caballero de Rauzán", written by Felipe Pérez. I began watching telenovelas when hubby and I lived in South America. I have "met" so many lovely, caring, wise, clever, witty people here. The telenovelas and caraycaray have been a constant in my life these past 11 years and continue to distract me from sad, bad events in my life. Next, I watched "Amor Real" on Melinama's recommendation. It was a good distraction from the loss of my mother, and I was hooked. I had surfed into the show and missed the beginning, so my sweet hub found dvds of the show for me online. She was singlehandedly translating Alborada ,and people were commenting. I googled "Alborada" and found Melinama's (Jane's ) Pratie Place site.

I watched intrigued, but I had no idea what the actors were saying. I saw this handsome guy with shoulder length dark hair, carrying a sword, and dressed in period costume. Right after my mother died 11 years ago, I was blue and looking for some escape. Chickie, what a lovely idea to post the history of caray caray.
