Ross has been steadily moving in that direction, and in the words of Rob Markman, a writer for MTV, “It’s hard to pinpoint exactly when Rick Ross became one of rap’s greats.” Well you might say Robert is talking out of his ass, but the reality is Ross has three #1 albums, and you can bet God Forgives is going to make that four. The man has been all over the place, reminding me of that golden age for Lil Wayne form 2005-09 where literally every rapper has a Weezy verse on their newest single. If you have been keeping up on the rap game, or have casually turned on the radio this past year, you’ve most likely heard Rick Ross’ signature “Humph” (phonetics are hard) or his “Maybach Music” drop on many radio singles. The fire single sets the tone for the rest of the album, which keeps that fire well stoked and fed. Dre, and Ross goes pound for pound with them. and “Guilty Conscience”, I’m a sucker for catchy songs with a dirty south sound. If you’ve been fortunate enough to have Sirius XM radio, you’ve most likely had your eardrums assaulted by “3 Kings” a single off of Rick Ross’ new album, “God Forgives, I Don’t.” The track features some of the heaviest hitting names in rap, Jay-Z and Dr.

“Brainstorm” – Personally, not much to say about this one.“The Grinder” – is a track produced by the legendary Jake One (he’s produced for Freeway, G-Unit, De La Soul, & E-40 just to name a few) showing that Wiz is now in the big leagues of the rap game. And what better way to represent Taylor Gang then to introduce Taylor Gang’s first lady Lola Monroe on the track. “The Code” – is pretty much everything that’s taylor.Juicy J’s verse brings some variation to the song and keeps it from sounding monotonous that and the eerie tune. The formula definitely marks this track as a hit. And here he follows the rule: If It’s Not Broken, Don’t Fix It. This song is very much Wiz Khalifa’s standard flow.

“My Favorite Song” -this is definitely not a new song by oft collaborators Wiz & Juicy J but I’m glad it made it onto the mixtape.Take a listen and share your thoughts on the comments below. Of course, I’d need to do more research to find out. Rowland definitely serves as a pun for “rollin'”. “Rowland” – “My first thought at seeing the title… an ode to Kelly Rowland? Not quite.Kind of a perfect song for that only blunt-ride. This track might be a favorite for fans of Deal or No Deal, yet its sure to appeal to his new fans. “The Cruise” – Wiz starts off by asking if anyone out there has regular or king-sized papers on this Frank Ocean-assisted track.Less mainstream-poppish then music previously heard on Rolling Papers but it fits considering Amber Rose is featured on the rack. “Nameless” – a pretty low key song with a repetitive hook ( “Lifestyle of the rich and famous”) that’s sure to get stuck in your head if you listen to it a few times.so hopefully we see this track on there as well. “O.N.I.F.C.” – Wiz plans on naming his next album O.N.I.F.C.“Mary 3x” – Although Wiz is a stoner rapper, and every song at least talks about Mary Jane, he always has one track on every mixtape completely devoted to the drug.Reminds me of “Taylor Gang” off of his third album, Rolling Papers. “Guilty Conscience” – definitely has some down south undertones to it.One of those songs that are very relatable to any stoner.
